Amazing Flame Full-Service Gas Fireplace Repair Company

The first winter after we moved into our home we realized our home builder failed to effectively insulate our fireplace. The draft was so bad that our immediate options were either to run the fireplace continuously or to disable it and add a sort of stuffing to reduce the draft. We opted for the latter and did not use or think about our fireplace for years. This summer, I finally set out to correct the issue. When I called Amazing Flame, I was quickly assured that you were knowledgeable about the situation and that a remedy could be implemented at an affordable cost. The lady who took my call and organized the work was friendly and informative. The technicians who performed the work seemed passionate about doing a quality job and seemed truly excited about the benefits we would enjoy. The guys me feel welcome to hang out with them and to learn more about the internals of the system.

We have been using the fireplace over the last few weeks and have greatly enjoyed the warmth and atmosphere it has added to our home. Today, being the first snow day of the season, it struck me that our feet were not at all cold when starting the fire!

Amazing Flame is nothing short of amazing. I am a Realtor and have called upon this company on a number of occasions for service. This is a family-owned and run business and Russell is very knowledgeable. He is incredibly professional in appearance and demeanor, calls prior to arrival, shows up on time, performs very quickly, provides exceptional recommendations and proposals, and is very conscientious about cleaning up when he is finished (from laying down protective surface layers prior to starting, right down to pulling out a portable vacuum for dust when he leaves). This company is an ‘A++’ service provider!

We had an old burner in our bedroom fireplace. During the last power failure it wouldn’t light. I called and they sent a tech out quickly. I chose to replace the old burner with one that was remote-controlled. I got a reasonable estimate, and within a week the new one was installed and works great. My old burner was a 21″ unit, but he recommended replacing it with a less expensive 18″ unit, which he said was a better fit. That impressed me. Service was punctual, very friendly and courteous. Amazing Flame is now my go-to gas fireplace service company.

Making the appointment required a simple phone call, Russell arrived promptly, and got to work. He quickly assessed our problem, performed corrections, setup the fireplace like new, and provided advice on what we could do in the future. He explained and pointed out every step – an education in fireplace maintenance. In, out in no time, leaving as if he had never had to do work, leaving us with a fireplace functioning better than new. In the end, our louvers were not set correctly (inhibiting heating), but the main problem was in how the front glass was affixed, leaking at the bottom. The top needed a bit of an adjustment, too. He showed me where the seal was made, and how to avoid the problem in the future. If I decide for the further work, I will give Amazing Flame a call.

This was the first time we had our gas fireplace serviced so I had no idea what to expect, but was nervous about expensive repairs being required because the wall switch was not functioning properly and I was worried about safety/gas leaks. The technician was extremely professional, taking the time to explain the mechanics and giving me options for proceeding, most of which were already included within the scope of the maintenance/tune up service. He never attempted to push any extra services or repairs that would have increased the cost. The fireplace looked like new after he cleaned it out, corrected the haphazard log placement left by the previous company and cleaned the glass. A very thorough job, and I will be using this company again for annual servicing.

Great local owned company. We had always wanted to have a blower installed in our 12 yr old gas fireplace but the estimates were over $650. One day at Home Depot I saw a vehicle with the Amazing Flame logo, so I wrote it down and called. What a difference right away. The lady who answered the phone was extremely polite and helpful. We received a quote that was just about 1/2 of the previous quotes we got from competitors. They gave us a window of time for the service. Service guy was right on time! He was very courteous and friendly. Seemed very honest when we had asked him a few questions related to yearly service and such. He was very neat and clean when performing the service. He vacuumed up and left it cleaner than when he got there. He was quick and provided us with instruction on how to operate the blower. We have used the blower ever since and are extremely satisfied.

No more drafty fireplace! Amazing Flame worked on our fireplace last fall to help eliminate the drafts we had been experiencing for YEARS. I am pleased to report that their work has paid off! We are so happy that our fireplace is no much “tighter” and the drafts of the past are “the drafts of the past”. Thanks so much!

My wife and I recently moved to a home with a gas fireplace and I could not get the pilot light lit. I randomly called Amazing Flame on a weekend, and before 9 AM on Monday, I received a return call. When I made my appointment I was given a time between 8 and 8:30 AM on a Friday. The technician called around 8:10 AM to tell me he was 10 minutes away. When he showed up, he immediately impressed me by removing his shoes so as not to mar the hardwood floors. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and let me see what he was doing. For an extra charge he installed a remote control device–I love it! The whole visit was less than one hour. I would recommend Amazing Flame to anyone that needs their gas fireplace maintained or repaired, they are very professional and courteous.

Recently the pilot on my ventless would not stay lit. I called Amazing Flame and spoke with Lenah. In short order Russ called me, asked a bunch of questions and had me send him photos of my ventless. Initially Russ told me that the valve assembly on my model was clearly defective and also that he was not aware of any replacement valves that could be installed for my model. I almost agreed to have the entire system replaced … until Russ asked me to give him a few days to seek out a less expensive solution. Now tell me, what contractor does this?

Good to his word Russ called back last week after talking to the manufacturer and advised me that it was possible to replace the guts of system with a repair kit that would cost me way less than half the price of a full replacement. The kit was ordered and Russ was at my home today to install it. Everything is working perfectly again. As always, Amazing Flame left the family room cleaner than it was before Russ arrived. Russ also educated me on things to keep an eye out for going forward.

Highly professional from start to finish. We purchased a home with 4 gas fireplaces that was a summer residence so the fireplaces had little/no use for the 12 years the original owners lived here, and they were in bad need of repair and maintenance. The original appointment was set for 3 weeks out which was good considering it was still in the dead of winter. Communication was good, technician arrived on time and was extremely clean and efficient. The work order mistakenly stated only two fireplaces but he managed to finish all 4. His education during the process was much appreciated and highly valuable. He opened each fireplace, cleaned the gas, checked for leaks, took out and cleaned the logs, changed the batteries in the remotes and added new “embers”. He added blowers to two of the 4 fireplaces to help with heat distribution. He was here a total of 4 hours. Will be using them yearly for maintenance.

Outstanding and incredibly professional service. Far exceeded my expectations providing extra touches with no extra cost enhancing the fireplace ambience.
